Amendment of selection criteria

 

In order to enable the maximum amount of singers and pianists to participate in the above-mentioned masterclass, the organization has decided to make participation in both the Mahler and Schubert classes no longer compulsory, but to allow participants to choose for only one of the two composers. However, participation in both classes remains possible. Furthermore, the registration period is being extended to March 15th. Singers aged up to 37 will be admitted to the selection procedure. There is no age limit for pianists.

We request that participants introduce an equal number of less-known Lieder in their repertoire selection, in combination with the well-known Lieder. Your repertoire selection including information about the text writer of the chosen Lieder, Deutsch-number (Schubert) and Opus number (Mahler):

The master class is an enriching experience for not only the selected participants, but also for those who will audit the lessons. Therefore, duo's that are not selected to participate in the class are cordially invited to take advantage of free tickets to attend the master class and the closing concert. Upon your request, through our web site, tickets will be held at the box office for you.
